Trump: 'Very Strange' Surprise Ballot Dumps Happening in Democrat-Controlled States
President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that it’s “very strange” how his lead in Electoral College battleground states started to “disappear” overnight.
“Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled,” the president wrote. “Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the ‘pollsters’ got it completely & historically wrong!”
Twitter once again injected itself into the 2020 presidential race and marked the tweet as misleading and prevented it from being retweeted without users “quote-tweeting” it.

The results showed Trump was ahead in Michigan and Wisconsin for much of Tuesday night, but he has since fallen behind Joe Biden by small margins in those states.
“I want to thank the American people for their tremendous support,” Trump said early Wednesday morning in a speech at the White House. “Millions and millions of people voted for us tonight and a very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people and we won’t stand for it.”
“We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything and all of the sudden, it was just called off,” he added.

“All of a sudden everything just stopped,” the president noted. “This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country.”

CNN reported election officials in Nevada and Georgia called off their vote counting efforts late Tuesday election night and planned to resume on Wednesday.
And updates to Michigan and Wisconsin vote tallies came in painfully slowly in the overnight hours.
Trump also expressed frustration that some news outlets had already called Arizona for Biden.
“Arizona, we have a lot of life in that,” he said.
Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the Grand Canyon State by 3.5 percentage points in 2016, but was trailing Biden by about the same margin as of Wednesday afternoon, with 86 percent of the estimated total ballots reported.
The race in Arizona has trended Trump’s way since late Tuesday night, when Biden held a lead of more than 6 percentage points.
Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs expressed optimism Wednesday morning that Trump would still take the state.
ARIZONA ELECTION UPDATE:
I optimistic that President @realDonaldTrump will win AZ when all legal ballots are counted.
I’ve gone through this same experience in our state before. I was down on election night, & by the end of the week, I won when all legal ballots were counted.

Nevada also appears to be in play, with a similar percentage of outstanding ballots as Arizona, and Biden clinging to a less than 1 point lead.
The Electoral College tally currently favors Biden.
There may be some surprises ahead before we know who has won the presidency.
Hopefully they will favor Trump.
