Tea Party Patriots Announces New Round of 'Just Say No' to Medical Mandates Protests

Share

Tea Party Patriots Action will be hosting a new round of “Just Say No” protests to COVID-19 mandates on Wednesday, Sept. 22.

Last month, the group held dozens of medical mandate protests nationwide.

This time around, Tea Party Patriots Action is teaming up with FireBrand Action, Moms for America and TurningPoint USA.

“The most important thing to do is set the date, time, and location as soon as possible!” Tea Party Patriots said in an email to supporters.

“That way you can announce it on social media and to your email list right away. You don’t need anything else right now, but with just that information, people can put it on their calendars and plan to attend.”

Tea Party Patriots Action has put together a guide to help people organize their own protests and is conducting conference calls to further assist event organizers.

Those interested can sign up to host or learn where to attend an event here.

The call for more protests comes as President Joe Biden announced a nationwide workplace vaccine mandate on Thursday.

“Tonight I am announcing that the Department of Labor is developing an emergency rule to require all employers with 100 or more employees, that together employ over 80 million workers, to ensure their workforces are fully vaccinated or show a negative test at least once a week,” Biden said in remarks from the White House.

“The bottom line: We’re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers. We’re going to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by increasing the share of the workforce that is vaccinated in businesses all across America,” Biden added.

The president’s desire to protect “vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers” through the new workplace mandate seems to be a nod to the number of so-called “breakthrough cases.”

Government health officials were quick to point out the vaccine has shown strong efficacy in the prevention of serious illness from the disease.

Tea Party Patriots Action honorary chairwoman Jenny Beth Martin wrote in a letter at the beginning of the organization’s “Just Say No” to medical mandates guide, the group isn’t trying to say COVID-19 is not real.

However, it believes that governments should not be permitted to use the virus as a means to run roughshod over people’s constitutional rights.

“This guide exists to help you just say no to medical tyranny,” Martin wrote.

“[I]t’s for the mom who never wanted to get involved in politics, but knows her kids cannot go another year wearing masks.”

Martin noted the protests are also for “the dad who can no longer watch his child slip deeper into depression; the doctors and nurses who have years of medical training and expertise, and who choose to forego the vaccine because they see something that concerns them.”

“[T]he citizen who sees the writing on the wall and wants to fight for our freedoms now, before it gets worse; the small business owner who can’t afford to be locked down again or penalized for not going along with mandates; and for every other American who knows what is happening is just WRONG,” Martin wrote.
